As polarization intensifies, many cities today struggle to meaningfully engage their communities. Traditional participation methods often fall short, treating engagement as a one-way activity—like ticking a box—rather than facilitating authentic dialogue. RxC is dedicated to changing this, helping communities build trust and identify common ground with platforms that foster nuanced, inclusive conversations.
Earlier this month, we held a capacity-building workshop in Curitiba, Brazil, where public servants dived into hands-on sessions with innovative tools like Pol.is and Quadratic Voting. Participants experienced first-hand how these methods can foster healthier dialogues at scale. Following the workshop, our team met with city officials in Curitiba to explore deeper collaboration and integration of digital democracy tools in local governance.
