Mark your calendar for November 14! We’re bringing together democratic innovators from around the world for a three-hour virtual event on The Future of Digital Democracy: Learning with Ukraine.
Amid ongoing war, Ukraine has achieved remarkable advances in digital democracy. From the Diia platform enabling digital services to the e-DEM system supporting local petitions and participatory budgeting, Ukraine’s bottom-up innovations in transparent, accountable governance offer valuable lessons for communities worldwide.
We’ll learn from their frontline innovations alongside Taiwan’s Participation Officer Networks, Cofacts’s approach to misinformation, and more – exploring how digital tools can help close the gap between democratic ideals and reality, especially in times of crisis.
Co-organized with Web3 Institute (Ukraine), our confirmed speakers include Audrey Tang, E. Glen Weyl, Ukrainian parliamentarian and digital democracy advocate Oleksii Zhmerenetskyi and civil society leader Oleksandra Radchenko from East Europe Foundation’s E-Democracy program. More speakers will be announced, so stay tuned.
In breakout sessions, you’ll contribute directly to our new Resilient Democracy Toolkit, a practical guide to strengthening democratic processes in times of crisis.
