We’re less than two weeks away from The Future of Digital Democracy: Learning with Ukraine, and we’re thrilled to announce some exciting additions to our speaker lineup.
Takahiro Anno, Member of Japan’s House of Councillors and founder of Team Mirai, will join us to share how he’s pioneered broad listening in Japanese politics. His work demonstrates how technology can bridge the gap between citizens and policymakers, creating new pathways for democratic participation.
Zarah Bruhn, Social Innovation Officer at SPRIN-D in Germany, will share insights on how governments can institutionalize innovation and build partnerships across civil society and business to transform citizen participation. Drawing on Taiwan’s successful transformation of public trust in democracy, she’ll explore what Europe can learn from these cross-sector experiments.

Our event last week on Foundations for the Digital Commons was a big hit, and one of the projects emerging from it is the Mutualis network – a group of legal practitioners, students and fellow-travelers that supports innovative legal arrangements, like data coalitions and unconventional cooperatives, through open-source templates.
